Credits are CricketGear.in's internal currency. 1 credit = ₹1. You earn them primarily through purchases and can use them toward future orders or membership renewal.
Membership and Credits
Membership is Rs 1,200 a year. Joining does not hand you a lump of credits; you earn credits by ordering gear. The credits you earn on orders go toward your membership at Rs 100 a month, up to 12 months ahead, and anything beyond that stays as gear credits to spend. For most members, the credits from a single order cover the year and still leave some over.
How You Earn Credits
From Purchases (Primary)
You earn credits on every order. The amount varies depending on the order and is shown in your quote before you pay. Credits are released to your balance after the order is completed, not at the time of payment.
Bonus Credits
From time to time, we issue bonus credits as a thank-you, for being an active member, for helping us improve, or just because. These are discretionary and unpredictable by design. Bonus credits expire after 6 months.
How You Spend Credits
At Checkout
When paying for an order, you can choose to apply credits to reduce your payment amount. Credits start at ₹0 by default. You opt in by clicking "Use Credits" and entering an amount (or clicking "Max" for your full balance).
Membership Renewal
You can pay for your annual membership (₹1,200) using credits if your balance is sufficient.
Tips
Credits can be used for tips at order completion.
Expiry Rules
Credits don't last forever. The expiry depends on how they were earned:
- Purchase credits: valid for 12 months from the date earned
- Bonus credits: valid for 6 months from the date earned
When you spend credits, the system uses FIFO (first in, first out). Soonest-to-expire credits are used first.
Your dashboard shows expiry warnings:
- Orange alert: 7 or more days remaining
- Red alert: less than 7 days remaining
Viewing Your Balance
Your credit balance is always visible on your dashboard. Go to Credits → History to see a detailed log of every credit earned, spent, and its expiry date.
Important Notes
- 1 credit = ₹1. No minimum order to use credits.
- Credits cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another account.
- Credits are linked to your account and persist as long as your account exists.
